Certified Health Coach
Hello, my name is Joyce. I have spent over 30 years working in the rehabilitation field. I am a graduate of Thomas Jefferson University where I studied physical therapy. As a licensed physical therapist and rehabilitative team leader, I’ve been honored to have had the opportunity to work with individuals who had injuries or conditions that cause varying degrees of pain, mobility limitation, and loss of physical function. Assisting someone to regain independence and improved quality of life has been an incredibly rewarding and a very positive experience. In working closely with patients as they face the many challenges and struggles of rebuilding strength and relearning activities of daily life, I have gained a deeper appreciation for the impact that lifestyle choices can have on a daily basis. The role of good nutrition, sleep, exercise, connection, mindset, and motivation can greatly impact outcomes in helping people to make sustainable progress toward their goals.

As a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, I focus on listening to the client to understand what is most important to them; their values, preferences, and unique skills and strengths that can be utilized to meet their own personal goals and aspirations.

I have a personal passion for, health and wellbeing and I believe building regular healthy habits are the corner stone for living our best lives. It’s the small and consistent changes that add up to create significant and meaningful life enhancement.

I look forward to helping you achieve your best life!

What is Health Coaching?
A Certified Health Coach provides a partnership and trusted guidance
to a client, helping and supporting the client to improve health and
well-being in all aspects of life. Based on the client’s own desires,
goals and preferred way of working, the coach assists in the client’s
self discovery into what he/she is looking to change. The client sets
the destination while the coach helps to navigate the path toward
success. The coach/client relationship is based on non-judgmental
listening, honest and open exploration and conversations. The change
process grows through a deepened understanding of one’s own
values and goals. Tools that facilitate the change may include
accountability, education, motivation building techniques and
identification of various physical, environmental, and social factors
impacting one’s lifestyle and habits.
